An AMEC double at the Environmental Excellence awards 2011
London, United Kingdom (7 November 2011)
AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has won two prestigious awards at the 2011 edie.net Awards for Environmental Excellence, held at the Hurlingham Club in London.
Shortlisted in every category of the Best Consultancy section, AMEC’s environmental business won the Waste and Resources Management award and the overall Environmental award.
“The winning of these two awards really confirms AMEC's position as one of the leading UK environmental consultancies.” said Richard McLaren, Managing Director of AMEC's Environment & Infrastructure UK business.
“AMEC is well known for its engineering and project management capability, but being nominated by our customers in every single category at these awards, and then named best environmental consultancy, confirms that our environmental and infrastructure consulting expertise is equally well regarded.”
The award winners were selected from shortlist by a judging panel chaired by Environment Agency chairman, Lord Smith.
